Spring is here!!!

Ahoy!!!

Spring is here!!  While it doesn’t look or feel like it today, the calendar says so.

As we all hunker down and wait out the virus, we’re getting the Mark Twain Riverboat ready for a fantastic season.  We’re getting some upholstery work done on the main deck (Thank You, Nash Upholstery in New London, Mo).  He’s recovering all 34 benches this year.  Last visit to Nash Upholstery was to have all (200+) inside chairs redone.  He and his crew always do a great job.  We’re also doing some maintenance in Fort Madison at Hall Towing before we return the riverboat to Hannibal.  We plan on moving the Mark Twain back to the Hannibal next week.

The Hannibal Riverfront Renovation is progressing nicely.  The rain the past few days is slowing things down.  We will be back at the foot of Hill Street next to the Hannibal Boat Club to start our season.

We’re taking reservations and answering questions by phone and email daily.  As we get our daily updates from the USCG and the Passenger Vessel Association, we are modifying our plans for our start up date.  Currently, we are planning on an opening day of April 1, 2020.  However, I’m sure that will have to be modified.

Take care, practice good hygiene, don’t panic, and PRAY.  We’ll all get through the hump in the road sooner than you think.

Dinner Cruise

Enjoy a night of dinner and dancing on this cruise on the Mighty Mississippi. Indulge in a delicious buffet and share a wonderful dinner with your family or friends, then enjoy live music from the dance floor or the deck.

Once on board, you are escorted to your table, then you are free to roam the boat until the captain announces that dinner is ready. After dinner, you are free to dance or sit back and enjoy the music. Live entertainment is included on our Dinner Cruises. It may be The Rivermen playing modern jazz (Saturday night from Memorial Day thru October), or you might get to enjoy the music of Tim Hart (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and David Damm (Thursday and Friday). Listen or dance to their favorite tunes — and they have been known to take a request or two. And you never know when a crew member or two may step up on the stage and join in.

Departure time: 6:30 pm (5:30 pm in October)
